Nine days when history comes alive! Hundreds of volunteers
come with their machinery, equipment, livestock, arts and
crafts to re-enact lifestyles and skills of our rural pioneers.
On the weekends of the Australian Heritage Festival there
will be Sheep Dog Trials and Farm Dog Trials. Click

Come and learn the skills of our pioneers. Live-in, hands
on schools conducted by people with a wealth of experience.
Schools vary from one day to three days. The range of skills
offered includes bullock driving, camp oven cooking, spinning,
weaving, felting, blacksmithing, steam engine operation, whip
plaiting, sheep dogs, sheep husbandry, draught horse driving,
harness making and many more as the school develops.

Years Eve Dance
Greet the new year in old style. The New Years Eve Bush Dance
at the Jondaryan Woolshed has become a family tradition for
many. Come for dinner, come to dance, and even stay overnight
in and around the Shearers Quarters. Book early to get an
alcove or table for your group.

Celebrate our nations origins at the Jondaryan Woolshed,
a day of remembering our pioneering past. There will be old-time
games for the kids, and plenty of food to enjoy, plus demonstrations
and displays, and a book launch. Entry by donation.

A great weekend for all country music fans, hosted at the
Jondaryan Woolshed, and run by the Garden City Country Music
Club. Some well-known artists have had their beginnings here.
The renovated Woolshed will reverberate with the lovely country
sound. |

Where the horses really work. Considered by horse people
to be one of Queensland's finest events. Not to be missed
if you are keen on these graceful creatures. There is also
a bush dance on the Saturday night in the Woolshed. |
